Create a mitzvah you can wear! The Light-Up Mitzvah Apron is a hands-on craft that teaches kids basic sewing and electronics while letting their creativity shine.
Kids start with colorful felt pieces and cut them into any shape they imagine—stars, hearts, flowers, or their own custom design. Then, using conductive thread, they sew a working circuit into the felt, connecting an LED light to a battery holder. Once the circuit is complete, they attach their felt “mitzvah patch” to the apron and watch it light up in celebration of their good deeds.
This project blends art, engineering, and Jewish learning into a fun, meaningful keepsake that kids will be proud to wear and show off.
