Grow a Mitzvah Kit

When I added water, the soil pellet expanded almost instantly.

It’s designed to absorb and hold moisture, giving roots space to grow.

At the same time, the seed starts absorbing water too — that’s what begins the process.

From there:

• the seed opens
  
• roots grow downward
  
• a sprout pushes upward toward the light
  

Even when you don’t see anything yet,

the system is already working.

Growth just takes time.

A Thought While Planting

I kept thinking — this starts so small.

Just a dry pellet, a few seeds… nothing that looks like it’s alive yet.

And still, you add water, and something begins.

It reminded me of a mitzvah.

A mitzvah can feel small in the moment — something quick, something simple.

But that doesn’t mean it stays small.

It grows.

Not always in a way you can see right away,

but over time, it becomes something much bigger.

I tried not to rush this part.

• I added water slowly and let the soil fully expand
  
• I covered the seeds gently — not too deep
  
• I placed it somewhere it could get light
  

Now it’s not really about building anymore.

It’s about checking in, watering, and being patient.

Some things you build quickly.

This one you grow.
