Project Overview

Build the mountain where everything began.

This hands-on kit lets kids construct their own Har Sinai — piece by piece — turning the story of Matan Torah into something they can actually see and hold.

With precision-cut wooden parts and a clean, satisfying build process, this feels less like a craft and more like real building.

The final piece becomes a meaningful display — something they’re proud to have made, and proud to keep.

Science Log

As I put the pieces together, something became clear:

This structure doesn’t stand because of one strong part —

it stands because everything is working together.

  • The base keeps it balanced
  • The upright pieces hold the shape
  • The connections keep everything steady

If one piece is even a little off, the whole thing can wobble.

That’s how real engineering works too.

It’s not just about strength —

it’s about how parts fit, align, and support each other.

Torah Sparks

While building this, I started wondering:

Why was the Torah given on Har Sinai — and not on the biggest mountain?

Har Sinai wasn’t tall or impressive. It was actually smaller and quieter than the others.

Maybe that’s the point.

Some of the most important moments don’t happen because something is the biggest —

they happen because everything is ready.

When Bnei Yisrael stood at Har Sinai, they stood together — like one person with one heart.

Different people, but connected.

That’s what made the moment strong.

Builder's Tips

Before locking everything in place, I like to test things first.

I check:

  • Are the pieces lined up correctly?
  • Does the structure feel balanced?

Then I press everything in carefully.

If something feels off, I fix it early instead of forcing it.

Taking your time at the start makes the final build:

  • stronger
  • cleaner
  • and something you’re proud to display

That’s how engineers think when they build.
